Rav Lau on Pirkei Avos - Volume 3

Running the gamut of Mishnah commentary, history, inspiration and anecdote, Rav Lau on Pirkei Avos is a rich, elegant, authoritative presentation that will both delight and enlighten - there is nothing like it. Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau has been an eloquent, engaging, and effective spokesman for our people for two generations. As Ashkenazic Rav HaRashi and as Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, he is a universally respected teacher of Torah values. And he does it with a blend of wisdom, wit, and integrity that glows throughout this unique work. Adapted from his multi-volume Yachel Yisrael on Pirkei Avos, it displays the vast knowledge, interpretive skills, and clear presentation that have made him a paramount advocate for Torah life. Only a year old, the Hebrew edition of this work is already acclaimed as a modern-day classic. Now, beautifully rendered by Yaakov Dovid Shulman, volume 3 of Rabbi Lau's magnum opus - covering the last two chapters of Avos - is available in English. This work is a must for anyone who wants to understand Pirkei Avos in all its fullness and beauty!
