Great Jewish Speeches

Voices you can hear through eternity: Great Jewish Speeches Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman, the Ramban, addresses his congregation in Barcelona. Avraham ben Avraham, the "righteous convert," publicly forgives the Jew who betrayed him. The Klausenberger Rebbe comforts 5,000 shattered survivors in a DP camp on Yom Kippur eve. The venerable and saintly Chafetz Chaim, his voice trembling, begs his fellows in Radin to give up conflict and discord. In Great Jewish Speeches you can "hear" the voices of some of the greatest Jewish luminaries in history -- through the speeches that they gave. Painstakingly uncovered from hundreds of sources by Rabbi Moshe Bamberger, a respected scholar and educator, each of the speeches included in this magnificent anthology is a gem, a classic of Jewish thought. To make the collection even more valuable, Rabbi Bamberger added historical and biographical background to his flowing, readable English translation of the speeches. Lavishly illustrated with photos and drawings, is a stunning and important addition to every home.
