Exploring Modern Halachic Dilemmas Pertaining to Women

We invite you to an exciting experience: Join Rabbi Zvi Ryzman for an exploration of 14 halachic issues that you may never have thought about, but that are especially relevant to women. Here are a few examples: A woman is in her kitchen, busily preparing for a summertime Shabbos. Her husband’s early minyan has accepted Shabbos. May she continue working? All the men are away for Shabbos. May a woman hear Havdalah over the phone? What should a woman do if she forgot to light Shabbos candles? What if it wasn’t her fault? It’s a weekday Yom Tov. When should she light — before sunset or when the men come home from shul? How much is she obligated in her children’s chinuch? The same as her husband? May a woman say Kaddish? Are you fascinated? You should be, because these — and many more — questions are discussed by Rabbi Ryzman in the inimitable style that has earned him Israel’s prize for Torah literature, the equivalent of a Nobel Prize for Torah. Institutions in America and Israel regularly invite him to give shiurim, recognizing him as a master educator and a distinguished talmid chacham. The author prefers to call himself a “mister” and a “businessman,” which he is, and a successful one. But he is most at home with his sefarim and talmidim. His style is unique. He begins with chinuch and takes us by the hand through centuries of classic halachah, all the way to today’s leading authorities. He makes us think, understand, and hunger for more. Open the sefer when you have time and are ready for an exciting intellectual experience. You’ll be grateful!
