Chinuch with a Geshmak

For decades, Rabbi Yaakov Bender has been one of the most trusted voices in Jewish chinuch. As a legendary Rosh Hayeshiva, mechanech, and mentor to generations of parents and educators, his guidance is sought by principals, rebbeim, teachers, and parents facing the sensitive and complex challenges of raising children in today’s world. Chinuch with a Geshmak is a powerful, practical collection of real-life questions—and real answers—addressing the issues parents and mechanchim are actually dealing with. From smartphones and social pressure to defiance, anxiety, motivation, and resilience, Rabbi Bender brings clarity, balance, and deep understanding to situations where there are no simple solutions. What sets this sefer apart is not only Rabbi Bender’s wisdom, but his warmth. His approach is firm yet compassionate, realistic yet hopeful, and always grounded in profound love for every child’s neshamah. Again and again, he reminds us that chinuch is not about control—it is about connection. Chinuch with a Geshmak is an indispensable guide for anyone who wants to raise children who are healthy, happy, and connected—to Hashem and His Torah, to their own families, and to themselves.
